Simply put, Jamal Musiala has the world at his feet. With a number of breathtaking displays for Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, many are wondering just how good this youngster can become. Musiala seems unfazed at the prospect of playing in big games, and has already demonstrated a cool head on young shoulders.

Early Career

Born in Stuttgart, Germany, Musiala started his youth career with his local side TSV Lehnerz. His family then moved from Germany to England when he was just seven years old, around this time he would join Southampton’s famed academy before moving to Chelsea.

In July 2019, Musiala would leave Chelsea and return to his homeland to play for Bayern. A year later he would make his debut for Bayern’s first team, becoming the youngest ever player to play for them in the Bundesliga at just 17. Being eligible for both England and Germany,  Musiala was capped at under 21 level by England in 2020, before ultimately pledging his allegiance to the country of his birth.

He would make his debut for the senior German national team in 2021.

Playing style

Jamal Musiala is a skillful player who is equally adept at playing as an attacking midfielder or on either flank. Standing at six feet tall, Musiala combines strength and pace with fantastic technical ability. He is strong in one on ones, often isolating his opposition full back to create opportunities for himself or his teammates. He is a confident finisher and has an eye for a pass.

What to expect

As Musiala continues to develop as a player and a person, the future certainly looks bright for the youngster. He has already established himself a key player for club and country, and the exciting news is his best is yet to come. Expect Musiala to dominate at the top level now and in the future, those who have worked with him have stated his maturity will not allow him to become complacent.

As he becomes more experienced, his influence on matches will grow stronger, as will his confidence in his own ability.
